SPORTING ROUND UP 1 #3

This weekend marked the start of the confederations in Moscow. We seen a draining ceremony where Putin bragged about his country.

Russia kicked off the campaign against NZ- starting 11 was decent

Russia starting XI: Akinfeev; Kudrjasov, Vasin, Djikia, Zhirkov; Samedov, Glushakov; Golovin, Erokhin, Poloz; Smolov

New Zealand starting XI: Marinovic; Durante, Bozall, Colvey, Wynne; Rojas, Smith, McGlinchey, Thomas; Wood, Barbarouses

there wasn’t many key players, however golovin being an arsenal target which  he was alright NZ which finished 2-0 but it could of easily been 5 or 6, Russia missed countless chances. They took the lead when Michael Boxall scored an own goal after Denis Glushakov had hit the post.

Portugal played mexico in a mouthwatering game which ended 2-2 with scorers Quaresma in the 34th minute and Cedric in the 86th minute, two good finishes and mexico scorers being Hernandez in the 42nd minute, not often we hear about hernandez now (after all he is killing it in Bundesliga) and hector moreno scored in the last minute to make things eqaul

cameroon play chille tonight and 9pm (GMT), i reckon it will finish 2-1  with sanchez taking one.

who do you think will win the tournament?

transfer talk- transfer talk has been good this week. ronaldo is rumoured to be leaving as he feels real madrid have disrespected him after he has been in a scandal for 15 million tax fraud. there hasn’t been many big signings yet but my 2 signings to look out for in the past few days are Bournemouth’s Begovic and Arsenal’s Kolasinic on a free from Schalke. as always Manchester United are linked with everyone, this week including  Belotti, Morata, Varane, Sanchez, Ronaldo and half the world. Everton are not short of spending money picking up young Jordan Pickford who has already proved his worthy in the premier league. Manchester united signed Victor Lindelof for around £30 million, he looks like a hot prospect! there isn’t much else to talk about, however Liverpool are still in talks with Salah. Manchester United eye up Donaurauma. West ham want Giroud and Man city want Dani alves. As always Arsenal are hunting for strikers including Lacazette and Mbappe. But that wont happen. AC Milan are hoping to get to the top again by spending £100 million already including signings Alonso and Rodriguezconfederationscup-2017_logo-700x513 (1)
